Austrian Felix Baumgartner jumped from the edge of the atmosphere faster than sound. He flew to 39,000 m in a capsule orbiting Earth, then jumped into the void. Organizers began broadcasting live from Mission Control Point which took place in Roswell, New Mexico, from which transmission from which I made the video captures step by step.
Felix Baumgartner, without a parachute, flew for 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
His jump remains the highest in history and the highest ever successful ascent of a balloon acieved by a man. He was in a capsule hooked by a balloon which reached the highest altitude ever.
The first data show that he failed to exceed the speed of sound barrier breakdown (1227km / h or 343m / s).
Air adventurer arrived safely on the ground, as shown in the photo gallery.
