Space shuttle Atlantis moved from its orbiter processing facility (OPF) into a high bay in the Vehicle Assembly Building at the Kennedy Space Center Wednesday to await its Nov. 2 delivery to the nearby visitor complex for display. The last of NASA’s retired orbiters to still be in Florida, Atlantis’ rollover was also the final time a shuttle occupied one of the three OPF hangars that earlier were used to ready the orbiters for their next spaceflights.
