hi there, I did myself in canada. I was shocked too but when i moved my glass in front of camera then that fixed spot moves, you can try for yourself. Move that glass which you may be holding in front of camera & then see the result………….. You’ll say you have been fooled by your own eyes
best way to test if it is a lens flare , put in video mode and shoot moving your camera if what you think is an anomaly moves then its a lens flare but if there is something there that does not move when you move the camera and it does not move you have a real anomaly and there are many videos and pictures out there that are showing something that IS There, this one ……..a lens flare

Trouble8696, how do you know that it is a hoax? Have you researched(not Googled) the topic?
Many people have been using their cellphones lately and seeing spots. It’s simply the filter that is causing it. I.E. lens flare. The only difference with lens flares in stand alone cameras and lens flares in cellphones is the fact that they appear less like your typical lens flare because a camera inside a cellphone uses a very thin type of lens which causes a less refined lens flare. Keep in mind though, this hoax is easily debunked because all the images show the spot in the same place, and it’s always the same even when someone on the other side of Earth takes a picture of it. If it were real, then the object would be slightly in a different position even if the object did still sit from the same distant beside the sun. It would still appear at different degrees around the sun when viewed in another place on earth in other words.
