Riccius is a lunar crater that is located in the southeast Moon. It is southeast of Rabbi Levi crater that is dark in these images. North-east is Stiborius and on south, crater Nicolai.
Riccius (71 km) probably holds the record of being the most craterous of the Moon. Is almost unrecognizable as a crater. Only the west wall escaped of the bombing. The rest of Riccius was completely destroyed with several craters less than 8 km in diameter.
Stiborius (44 km), crater is located in the south-west of the crater Piccolomini. South-west of Stiborius is Wöhler, smaller. Stiborius is 44 kilometers in diameter and 3.7 kilometers deep.
