Ben asks:
I’m interested in finding what position of each planet in our solar system on September 9 1983. I’ve been searching the internet but haven’t come up with the answer.
Interesting question Ben!
I was able to generate a couple of images of the solar system as viewed from above using the NASA JPL Solar System Simulator http://space.jpl.nasa.gov/:
You can click on either image to bring up the full size image.
If you are wanting to know where the planets are in the night sky, from here on Earth on that date, as mentioned in a previous question, you can use a free planetarium program called Stellarium, available for download at http://www.stellarium.org You can also use another free program called Celestia. Celestia can be downloaded at: http://www.shatters.net/celestia
