(Before It's News)

A new posting on the video site Vimeo, this short is a combination of night sky time-lapse and still pictures and film from NASA combined with original music in a tribute to the conquest of space.

Film artist Effeprod writes:

This video is my first musical clip. I do it for the song “Zero Gravity”, which I composed and perfomed with a friend. It is about dreams under a night sky, conquest of space and an astronaut/spationaut/cosmonaut nostalgic mood…

The first part is composed with night timelapses, then we have a (very) short abstract of conquest of space by Nasa, then some pictures of life in International Space Station and finally great images of earth from space with beautiful aurorae borealis. The last sequence is a re-entry of Progress spacecraft.

For the two last minutes, I use ressources from this excellent ISS pictures and movie website : eol.jsc.nasa.gov/Videos/CrewEarthObservationsVideos/. I downloaded pictures in highres, then pass from pictures sequence to movie with node compositor of open source 3D software Blender. This approach aimed to produce a better image quality than movies (even HD) available on the website.

I hope you enjoy the music!
