Sun Update Feb.20,2013 C8-2 Solar Flare – Eruption on Sunspot 1678.
Solar activity has been fairly low, with the exception of a solar flare reaching C8.2 and peaking at 11:11 UTC on Wednesday morning. The source of the flare was Sunspot 1678. This region has a Beta-Gamma-Delta magnetic configuration and may produce a moderate M-Class solar flare within the next 24-48 hours.
These pictures are from NASA, and Were taken from the AIA instrument of the satellite SDO (Solar Dynamics Observatory), with a wavelength of 304 Angstroms. this movie was produced by helioviewer org.
