NASA’s Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) lifted off for the moon Friday (Sept. 6), launching on Orbital Sciences’ inaugural Minotaur V booster from Pad 0B at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport on Wallops Islands in Virginia.
