A major solar flare measuring X1.0 was observed around sunspot 1893 at 10:26 UTC Tuesday morning. A type II radio emission with a velocity of 1049 km/s was associated with this event. The active region is about to rotate onto the southwest limb and is no longer in the best position for Earth directed eruptions. Further updates regarding a possible CME to follow.

MAJOR X-CLASS SOLAR FLARE !
A Major X1.0 Solar Flare was reported at 10:26 UTC this morning around active region 11893. The impulsive eruption occurred while the active region was about to turn off the earth-facing side of the disk which would imply the resulting coronal mass ejection should not be heading Earths way. A very bright Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) has been observed at the time of making this video. Associated with this eruption was a 10cm Radio Burst (TenFlare) reaching 530 Solar Flux Units lasting 7 minutes and a Type II Sweep Frequency Event.
