Huge Hazardous Asteroid with estimated size of three football fields passed the Earth on Monday February 17th, 2014.  

Space.com describes the Asteroid “The asteroid, named “2000 EM26″, will fly by us at the nominal distance of 0.022 AU (3.21 million km / 8.8 lunar distances) with a relative speed of 12.37 km/s (about 43 000 km/h and 27 000 mph).”

Scientists estimate that 2000 EM26 is about 885 feet (270 meters) in diameter, and it is whizzing through the solar system at a break-neck 27,000 mph (12.37km/s), according to Slooh. During its closest approach, the asteroid will fly about 8.8 lunar distances from Earth.
