Earth’s Rotation Slowing? The Leap Second (Video)

(N.Morgan) What happens if the Earth slows down? It would change the time. The atomic time would lose a second or two. What would that mean? The mechanics of the leap year are well known: We add a day to February every four years to maintain the synchronization of our earthly calendar with the celestial reality of the Earth’s orbit.

Well, it turns out that a similar phenomenon plays out on a much smaller time scale. Along with the leap year, there is the leap second. Here, let Demetrios Matsakis explain. He’s the chief scientist for time services at the US Naval Observatory and the star of one of the best videos you’re ever going to watch, Where Time Comes From (which I’ve embedded above). This is an outtake from that video, which was produced by the genius Katherine Wells. “Until 1971, our standard of time was the rotation of the Earth,” Matsakis says. “One turn of the Earth was one day, divided into hours, minutes, and seconds.”

But scientists who had been working with atomic clocks already knew that the length of a day, as measured by the Earth’s rotation, was variable. In any given rotation, the sun may be off from our perfect temporal abstraction by a tenth of a millisecond. A day, as measured by a rotation, might be 86,400.0001 seconds or 86,399.9999 seconds. Scientists also realized that the Earth’s rotation is not only variable but slowing a teensy tiny bit. Something like a couple milliseconds per day, although the rate changes. Now, the official time of record – called UTC or Temps Universel Coordonné, Coordinated Universal Time – is defined by atomic clocks, which use processes that are less inconsistent than the planet spinning on its axis.

The earth is slowing due to the near presence of Nibiru. The Navy has been adjusting the official clock to cover up this fact including leap seconds. You are spreading disinfo to hide the truth. Learn to post truth not lies. And why does the Navy need a telescope in Arizona? To watch Planet X of course.

A spinning earth covered by vast oceans of water is affected by inertia, ie the water does not want to move. At its bottom, it moves, somewhat reluctantly, by frictional interaction with the solid earth, but at its surface, this friction reduces to zero. Thus, the earth’s oceanic water begins to lag behind its solid underpinnings. Centrifugal forces then cause it to begin to rise up; as the water rises up, water from more northerly and southerly regions rushes in to fill the void. Before long, the spinning earth has a watery ring system, somewhat similar to that seen in more solid form around Saturn.
Can you see, from this simple analysis, that therefore the earth cannot possibly be revolving?
“The world also is firmly stablished that it cannot be moved”.
“The sun also arises, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose”.
Two scriptures, which amongst many others, reveal the truth as defined in the Word of God.
If the apparent duration of the day is increasing, then this is just as easily attributed to a slowing of the heavens as they revolve around us. The universe is growing older and losing its momentum. God’s Word tells us that in the Day of the Lord, the stars will fall from the sky and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. This will be a sudden and entirely unexpected phenomenon; and it will cause men’s hearts to fail them in fear.
The problem with the Copernican Theory, which has been in vogue since 1543, is that it has never been verified, although not one person in a million knows that. Because it appears to refute the statement of God Himself, then it is eagerly accepted by a world which has also accepted the equally flimsy and now entirely discredited ( by his own reckoning ) theory of Darwin.
Remember the initial mistake which was made by Eve; ie, to believe the serpent.
He is still very active, and he has deceived many; and great will be the fall of the house that continues to believe his lies.
