On Aug. 14 (weather permitting), a 180-foot crane will hoist Space Center Houston’s high-fidelity mockup space shuttle, the Independence, on top of NASA’s historic Shuttle Carrier Aircraft for an exhibit unlike any other in the world. When opened in March 2015, visitors will be able to walk through the 747 jet and replica orbiter. collectSPACE offers an exclusive first look at what guests will experience when they go inside Independence.
