Some people say NASA has no reason to hide its knowledge of past life on Mars when the news would increase NASA’s budget enormously. They just don’t say NASA scientists would lose credibility.
Some people point to some UFO believers’ claims of finding life on Mars. It’s like evolutionists pointing to some creationists’ claim that the Earth is 6,000 years old. Both are campaigns in which no one is proven right. NASA seldom admits mistakes, especially when too much is at stake.
