Today, March 20, 2015, there was a partial eclipse of the Sun, which was visible from Romania.
I took the telescope down the block between garages, and I caught the event by two devices: photo and video cameras, namely Nikon D80 and Sony CX130, both attached to the telescope alternately.

This event occurred by coincidence with other two: perigee of the Moon, when yesterday the Moon was closer to Earth, March 19 at 357.584 km fom us at 9:38 p.m., and the vernal equinox, when days and nights are equal . On March 20, March equinox (spring) takes place at 7:14 GMT. The sun will shine directly on the equator and the days and nights are almost equal throughout the world. This is also the first day of spring (vernal equinox) in the northern hemisphere and the first day of fall (autumnal equinox) in the southern hemisphere.

Even if the Moon is at perigee on March 19, 2015, it is not closest to Earth than it will be in September 2015. The nearest point of the Moon from the Earth, will be on September 28, 2015, at 356,877 km from Earth, at 3:46. That will be a Super Moon.
