The newfound asteroid will buzz Earth closer than the moon
This asteroid, 2015 FM118, is estimated to be about 35 feet (10 meters) across,” officials at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California wrote in an alert. “Its closest approach to Earth will be at about 217,000 miles (about 350,000 kilometers) from Earth

2015 FM118 will zip by Earth  today, just days after its discovery on March 25. NASA officials say it poses no threat to the Earth.
The average distance between Earth and its moon is about 239,000 miles (385,000 kilometers)

Today 5 more asteroids make close approach to our planet.
 3 of them will pass within approximately 10LD or less
