The War for Space

The rapid proliferation of nuclear weapons on Earth in several countries means that nuclear superiority on our planet is somewhat in balance. China, Russia and the US along with India and Pakistan, on another scale, represent nuclear powers being in balance. The only way to shift this balance would be to think space. That is, to make nuclear weapons or nuclear deterrent capabilities that could operate in space.
Nuclear systems in outer space is not a novel idea. It has been around for some time. During the pinnacle years of Cold War, with a threat of a nuclear war being imminent, Ronald Reagan, the then president of the US, announced the adoption of an amazing Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) in a solemn address from the Oval office. The date was March 23, 1983, and effectively, the start of the militarization of space.
