NASA selected five new flight directors on Monday (Sep. 21) including the first-ever flight crew member to be named Flight. Timothy “TJ” Creamer was chosen as an astronaut in 1998 and lived for 161 days on board the International Space Station in 2010. A former payload operations director, Creamer and his four classmates will help lead teams of controllers, engineering experts and support personnel from within the Christopher C. Kraft, Jr. Mission Control Center in Houston.
