Christie’s New York will host an auction Dec. 15 dedicated to the full history of the Omega Speedmaster, including its ties to NASA and space exploration. Among the 50 lots, will be two chronographs that spent time off the planet, including a watch that flew on the Russian space station for a year and the only Speedmaster flown to the moon that can be legally owned. “There may be no more iconic a watch in American history than the Speedmaster,” said Christie’s Eric Wind.
