- What: Bright fireball, possibly accompanied by sonic booms and quakes
In a recent story, Texas UFO Sightings mentioned sonic booms and quakes in the northeast US, which were explained by media outlets as the result of Marine corps fighter jets in training. However, that same evening, nearly 1,000 reports of a giant fireball were submitted to AMSMeteors.org, and even caught on video by a pilot with a GOPro camera on his X-Wing (yes, really, see video below!), so one wonders if the meteor was the greater denominator:
