In a vertical blue haze a red beam comes down towards the Earth, or beyond it. In the picture the beam is only slight but in the video becomes quite substantial, filling up the blue space and turning some of the blue haze red, before the camera switches to the West setting.
The forward looking camera is showing it, so East of the Sun, or a sunset observation.
