NASA Confirms Asteroid’s (TX68) Trajectory is ‘Highly Uncertain’ - Earth Flyby between March 5 and 9 – UPDATE February 15, 2016
Latest estimates say the asteroid will pass no closer than 19,000 miles (30,000 km). Even if it passes in this distance the flyby would still be even closer than orbiting communication satellites.
The speed of the space rock has also been updated. Asteroid 2013 TX68 is travelling at a speed of 34,279 miles per hour (55,166 km/h).
Condition Code 8 (highly uncertain).
Astronomers say the asteroid 2013 TX68 may pass by Earth on March 8 at 00:06 UTC (March 7 at 7:06 pm ET), the time uncertainty is 2 days, which means the space rock may be passing by our planet sometime between the evenings of March 5 and 9.

The asteroid is currently approaching Earth from the sun’s direction, which makes it difficult to track it.
2013 TX68 is not listed as a potentially hazardous asteroid because it is less than 100 meters (330 ft) in diameter.
