Has NASA’s Planet-Hunting Kepler Space Telescope Found A New Earth?
Scientists may be getting closer to finding a ‘new Earth’, as NASA prepares to make a big announcement related to its planet-hunting Kepler Space Telescope.
When Kepler was first launched back in 2009, scientists had no idea how common planets were outside our solar system.
Astronomers now believe there may be at least one planet orbiting every star in the sky.

NASA will be announcing its latest findings at 1pm on Tuesday 10 May.
Kepler has already discovered around 1,000 exoplanets – the name given to planets that orbit a star outside of our solar system.
Last year, Kepler spotted an exoplanet capable of supporting life. Named Kepler 452b, the planet sits roughly the same distance from its parent star as Earth does from the sun.

The giant space telescope ran into difficulties last month but NASA managed to bring it back online after briefly losing touch with it.

There are rational explanations to everything beyond the bogey man in the sky. If it can not be validated, quantified, measured and reproduced via the scientific method it is bogus, just like god.
Lets hear your rational explanation for how the bacterial flagellum evolved, Syco, even though it has been validated, quantified and measured, via the scientific method, as being irreducibly complex.
It shouldn’t be difficult, given you know everything, unless it’s your understanding of science that is bogus.
Sure it has Mycoplasma laboratorium, if we can make it by ourselves we have it figured out, synthetic life, we ,make artificial DNA all the time too. No need of gods.
My point exactly. We can only reproduce (synthesize) the fundamental building blocks, of all life, through intelligent design.

Genetics has all men, every last mother bleeping one of us, being able to trace our lineage back to a single origin.
The argument goes that all reproduction always results in a loss of genetic material, never a gain, therefore the source needs must have contained every conceivably possible DNA sequence.

That’s me, Jostler, i’m all about proving to honest thinkers that sense, reason and logic are no barrier to faith.
I want for folk to know that there’s no special wu-wu involved and that anyone capable of reading this comment has all of the required tools, at their very fingertips, to examine the Holy Scriptures in the greatest detail.
Anyway, Jostler, i’ve been here in the bins for years and i’m pleased to say there’s been a few folk who have decided to give the book another read.
Whenever people predict the possibility of other races on other planets, invariably they forget to factor in TIME. Even if there are millions of potentially habitable planets, any potential race would only exist for a short period of geologic time. Even if life did exist on other planets, given that time is infinite, the probability of those short periods of existence overlapping with ours approaches absolute zero.
