The AMS has received nearly 150 reports so far of a rare daylight fireball event over the Midwestern states of Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana on Monday June 6th 2016.

Discovered on the 3rd of June 2016, two days after it made a.close approach of our planet, 108 metre wide Apollo asteroid 2016 LV crossed the plane of ecliptic at close approach, at an inclination of 2.12 degrees going N to S at a relative velocity of 10.3 Km/s
