Earthquakes: There has been 22 quakes of 4+ magnitude in the last 12 hours. Over the last 11 hours Kirakira, Makira, Solomon Islands has had 9 quakes of 5+ magnitude. There also was a 5.1 magnitude quake in Puerto El Triumfo, Usulutan, El Salvador about 2 hours ago. UPDATE — more quakes of 5.2 / 5.1 / 5.0 in the Solomon Island in the last hour. 2nd UPDATE — More quakes of 5.4 / 5.2 magnitude in the Solomon Islands over the last hour. 3rd UPDATE – 6.9 magnitude quakes in the Solomon Islands about 30 minutes ago. Claifornia should be on the watch, yesterday there was a 6.8 in Ferndale then about 3 hours later the Solomons’ had a 8.0. 4th UPDATE — 5.5 / 5.3 magnitude quakes in the Solomons’ about 45 minutes ago. 5th UPDATE — Tsunami threat message 88 km N of Kirakira, Makira, Solomon Islands about 50 minutes ago. 6th UPDATE — 5.8 / 5.1 magnitude quakes in the Solomon Islands about 45 minutes ago. 7th UPDATE — 5.7 / 5.0 magnitude quakes in the Solomon Islands about 20 minutes ago.

Storms: Tropical Storm (Cyclonic Storm Vardah) is west of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The storm is moving northwest into the Bay of Bengal and forecast to make landfall near Ongole, India.
