Expedition 50 flight engineer Peggy Whitson set two worldwide records while out on a spacewalk at the International Space Station Thursday (March 30). Whitson, who was joined on the EVA by Shane Kimbrough, broke the earlier records held by NASA astronaut Suni Williams for the total time on spacewalks by a woman and the total number of spacewalks by a woman.
