The Department of Homeland Security and it's "see something, say something" citizen tattle tail squad are are becoming more and more prevalent all over our once great republic. I've become aware of a program called the Citizens' Volunteer Corps (CVC). Sounds innocent enough right? Think again! The other day my girlfriend received a letter from the Manchester Connecticut Police Department. Here is what the letter said:
Dear (My girlfriend's name),
This is only an educational courtesy letter from the Manchester Police Department. As you may or may not know, the Police Department is working hard every day to improve traffic safety in our community. We believe traffic safety enhances quality of life and keeps our neighborhoods safe. One way we try to accomplish traffic safety is by utilizing members from our Citizens' Volunteer Corps (CVC). The people who make the CVC are just like you, people who care about their community and choose to help by volunteering their time. The CVC routinely assists our Traffic Services Unit. Members of the CVC are trained in recognizing problem areas, and identifying those who may have violated traffic laws in our community. The CVC observes and reports violations of traffic laws to us. In turn, the Police Department mails out a letter to the vehicle's registrant. The letter gently advises the registrant about the violation. This is such a letter.
Please be advised that the Manchester Police Department was notified by a directed CVC patrol that on July 9, 2012 at 10:05 AM, your black Honda Accord, registration marker plate CT ******, was observed failing to obey a stop sign while traveling southbound on Waddell Road at Dudley Street.
Again this is ONLY a courtesy letter. The Manchester Police Department WILL NOT take any type of enforcement action on the noted violation. No formal record of this violation is maintained by the Manchester Police Department, nor is any information about this violation shared with the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles. Please remember to use due care when traveling the streets of Manchester, CT. We truly appreciate your cooperation on this matter.
Sincerely,
Sergeant Henry Minor
Traffic Services Unit
Manchester Police Department
Incredible! The police are now recruiting volunteer tattle tails to sit in designated areas with a pen, paper and their phone and report traffic violations! But wait, it gets better! After Googling the Citizens' Volunteer Corps, it brought me to their website http://citizencorps.gov . Yes, that is a .gov at the end! And yes you guessed right, they are under the Department of Homeland Security/FEMA. To confirm I clicked "locate your council" at the top of this website and searched and the Manchester, CT Police Department is part of this government sponsored citizen tattle tail program.
This is very reminiscent of the STASI in East Germany during the Cold War era. And for those of you who know your history, the man who engineered the STASI, Markus Wolf was hired by George W. Bush as the head of Homeland Security in its earlier days. That's right, a known communist heading up the United States Department of Homeland Security. Markus Wolf was known for turning half the East German population into informants and the DHS has rolled out the same STASI type, "see something, say something" citizen spy network with its roots coming straight from communist East Germany. So it is very clear now that they are becoming ever more successful at brainwashing American citizens and in infiltrating not only the federal government but the state and local governments as well. When did DHS get in the business of traffic violations? They continue to overstep their bounds day by day and this is just the tip of the iceburg.
So I will leave you with this. Be aware of your neighbors. You never know what intel they are gathering on you when they see you forget to use your turn signal to turn into your driveway, or better yet when you're discussing your political views or concerns about the tyrannical direction our country is heading.
