With all of the electronic miniaturazation technology available, Egyptians are up in arms after discovering a bird, a stork, in fact, carrying electronics. Civilians thought they had captured a flying spy and brought the bird to a police station.
Talk about ruffled feathers. An unsuspecting stork faced jail time in Egypt under suspicion of being a spy.
The Associated Press reported an Egyptian man brought the stork to a police station Friday in the Qena governorate, an area located 280 miles outside of Cairo. The man feared the bird was an undercover agent carrying some sort of electronic device, Egyptian officials said.
After an inspection from the head of security in Qena on Saturday, officials ruled the device was simply a wildlife tracker — not an explosive or spying device as it was suspected of being. MOREHERE
