Everything is foreseen, yet free will is granted…the mystical side of Judaism and life

by Reb Akiva @ Mystical Paths

My friend, the expert Shochet / Bodek (ritual Kosher slaughterer and examiner, checker for kosher status by checking the animal organs for proper health according to Jewish religious standards) likes to bring me back samples demonstrating the halachot (the Jewish laws) of kosher / glatt kosher / mehadrin, etc.

This time he came back from an overseas slaughtering trip with something special.  In this video he shows an unusual halachic situation where a large domesticated animal (cow / sheep / goat / buffalo) can be kosher to eat without being ritually slaughtered.

Note there’s a brief review of the halacha from the Shulchan Aruch at the beginning, and then he presents and opens an animal organ to demonstrate.  This video is NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH or for viewing around lunch or dinner time.

Direct video link.  6 minutes, English with some background Hebrew conversation.
