There are times in our life when it feels like we’re stuck, it’s like a pregnant pause where nothing is happening and for some people that’s okay, but for others, it a very uncomfortable place to be. Life appears as if it’s moving in slow motion and we try to make something happen that will change our life from where it is in this moment simply because we don’t like the sense of feeling stuck. Sound familiar?
Well, it’s not being stuck that’s the issue. The real issue is believing the thought that you are stuck and then the willingness not to grasp at anything to get rid of the feeling. Simply allow yourself to be stuck and in the moment when you honestly say ‘yes’ to being stuck and surrender, you might feel you body relax because you’re no longer resisting your life in this moment.
Ask yourself ‘Is it really true that I am stuck?’ The most common answer might be that you feel like your stuck in life but the truth is when you really investigate this thought you can discover it’s just a feeling you have labeled as ‘being stuck’. The definition of stuck is being unable to get rid of something, so we all know, that which we want to get rid of because it feels uncomfortable is going to stay until you stop pushing it away or covering it up.
So what to do? My recommendation is to make friends with the feeling of being stuck. Remember our mind is very powerful at helping us believe we are not good enough, life is not good enough, something is wrong and it wants to have control, so simply stop arguing with your mind. Welcome what is here, instead of resisting it. Just as an experiment, say a big yes to being stuck and see what you discover. And by the way, no point in pretending you are okay with being stuck because you mind recognizes the truth and when it does it lessens its grip, but you honestly have to be okay with being stuck to see the change.

Where did we ever get the idea perfection is reality? by Lorraine Wilson
Wanting to achieve perfection in our lives can certainly be motivating, but it can also set us up to believe we’re just not good enough if we don’t achieve the levels of perfection we set for ourselves. Forget about others having expectations of us being perfect, more often than not, we are the ones who put such demands on the levels of perfection we need to achieve and beat ourselves up when we can’t seem to reach these goals we’ve set for ourselves.
