Christ vs. Paul…know them by their fruits
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. {Matthew 7:18}
books of Matthew and John testify that Jesus Christ…
1) healed the sick
2) raised the dead
3) forgave sins
4) cast out devils
5) was approved of his Father, who declared “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” {Matthew 3:17 and 17:5}
6) challenged corrupt authorities
“And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles” {Matthew 10:18}
7) upheld God’s law
“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” {Matthew 5:17-18}
8) shared spiritual knowledge without cost…”freely you have received, freely give” {Matthew 10:8}
9) honored God’s temple
“And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.” {Matthew 21:12-13}
10) established the kingdom of God on Earth…“be as wise as serpents, harmless as doves” {Matthew 10:16}
books of Acts, Corinthians, Thessalonians and Hebrews testify that Pharisee Paul…
1) turned over followers to Satan
“To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.” {1 Corinthians 5:5}
2) murdered saints
“And cast [Stephen] out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.” {Acts 7:58}
3) made followers vulnerable to sin
“Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.” {1 Corinthians 7:5}
4) had a thorn put in his flesh by Satan
“And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.” {2 Corinthians 12:7}
5) was directed by Satan
“Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.” {1 Thessalonians 2:18}
6) supported corrupt authorities
“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:” {Romans 13:1-3}
7) denounced God’s law calling it “the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones” {2 Corinthians 3:7}
