(Before It's News)
Autumn is slowly descending upon us. And I am so excited for this new season to begin. There’s just something about the coolness of the weather, the soft patter of rain on the roof as you fall asleep, the yummy pumpkin lattes, and starting to wear layered clothes again that gives you such a cozy and homey feeling.
August is the last full month before autumn officially begins. And it has been quite a month for me. From getting a job, to becoming more involved with Young Living essential oils, to working a whole lot in my ministry (it’ll be the 2 year anniversary next week!), to getting deeply hurt by someone who I thought was one of my best friends, to discovering a new devotional that was just what I needed, to learning more and more and more about the God I serve and the Jesus who loves me so, so much. I am truly blessed. And truly thankful.
This year is passing by so quickly for me. It’s crazy to think that Christmas is only four months away. Part of me is so ready for 2014. Part of me is, well, a bit scared. I feel like there’s so much more I can accomplish this year, but it’s just speeding by me so quickly.
Also, I’ve made a recommitment to what this blog is all about. I’ve gone back and deleted tons and tons of posts that I felt weren’t right for what my goal is with this website. I want to focus more on encouraging peers (guys and girls alike) and sharing lessons that the LORD has been teaching me. Not photography, not music, not movies, not day to day events. This blog is about God and His daughter. And everything in between them.
I hope you're all having a blessed weekend! I'm volunteering at a Christian concert festival today…and enjoying my last weekend before starting my job at the photography studio in town:)
