We’re all made of energy. Different cultures and spiritual followings have different names for this. The Chinese call in “Chi,” the Japanese call it “Ki,” and in Hindu it’s known as “Prana.” It’s the life force that flows through all of us and through everything else in the universe.
What Do We Mean When We Talk About “High Vibration Living”?
As energetic beings, we each have a different vibrational frequency that varies from day to day, moment to moment and is deeply affected by various factors including our health, beliefs and attitudes about the world around us.
The good news is that we can consciously work to raise our vibration by beginning to rid our bodies and minds of the toxic waste they’ve been holding onto that weighs us down and lowers our energetic frequency.
Why Do We Want to Raise Our Vibration?
We all know how it feels to be around someone with “great energy.” Their energy is contagious and being near them raises our own vibration and makes us feel invigorated. We’re drawn to them, inspired by them and can’t wait to connect with them again. When you work to raise your own vibration, the people around you – your friends, family, co-workers, clients and potential clients will feel the difference and be drawn to you in a profound way.
Raising your vibration also drastically shifts your own sense of wellbeing. The energy of the universe is vibrating at the highest possible frequency. The more closely you can align your energy with the universal energy, the more you allow peace, grace and light into your life.
And if those weren’t reason enough, if you’re a follower of the Law of Attraction you know that the more closely you align your vibration with the vibration of the universe, the more easily you are able to manifest whatever it is you desire into your experience.
How Can Food Help Raise Our Vibration?
We all know the old saying, “you are what you eat,” and it couldn’t be more true. Your vibrational frequency is deeply affected by what you eat and drink throughout the day.
Plants hold the highest frequency of energy when it comes to food. Fresh, raw fruits and vegetables eaten as soon as possible after picking are simply bursting with pure, pulsing life force. The actual energy of the sun! Eat as many as you can handle and watch your life change!
In addition to plants, other whole foods such as whole grains (millet, brown rice, amaranth, etc.), beans and legumes (black beans, kidney beans, chickpeas, lentils, etc.) and raw nuts and seeds (pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, walnuts, etc.) are also excellent high vibration foods
Sprouting grains, beans and seeds is a good way to dramatically boost their vibration. If you buy organic, raw versions you can quite easily do this at home on your countertop without any fancy equipment.
Fresh herbs and spices are also among the highest energy foods around. Look to incorporate powerful foods like garlic, cilantro, turmeric, cayenne and cinnamon into your diet on a regular basis.
Other Ways to Raise Your Vibration
Food is one of the most powerful tools you have to raise your vibration, but there are also many other factors to explore including quality sleep; meditation; regular movement such as yoga, hiking or dancing; gratitude; essential oils and energy healing practices such as Reiki.
By raising your energetic vibration you show up in the world in a whole new way. You become more aligned with your highest vision of yourself, people and opportunities become naturally drawn to you and you step into a place of ease and grace in your body that feels utterly delicious.
