Luke Chapter 17
7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, WE ARE UNPROFITABLE [achreioi] SERVANTS [Douloi]: we have done that which was our duty to do.
NOW THERE IS just one other place with those very words: Matthew chapter 25 describes the exact opposite type of servant as unprofitable
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable [achreion] servant [doulon] into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Still want to take Luke’s advice and claim to be unprofitable (or useless or unworthy) servants who don’t get thanked?!!!
…because the Master is returning with a boatload of thanks, to understate the matter…
“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:”
“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”
Strong’s Concordance
Be carful of what you are saying.
Did you even ask the Holy Spirit if this is true?
You don’t want to lead people astray.
The Holy Spirit IS the Spirit of truth (John 14:17,26), so to not be lead astray one absolutely must begin with the unquestioned facts…and not feelings or what you’ve been taught…but THE TRUTH
1) Luke and Mark WERE NOT EVER apostles [3 precise listings agree -- Matthew 10:2-4; Luke 6:13-16; Mark 3:14-19]
2) There are only 12 apostles: “And the wall of the city had TWELVE foundations, and in them the names of the TWELVE APOSTLES OF THE LAMB.” Revelation 21:14
3) Saul was a Pharisee
4) Jesus repeatedly warned about Pharisees and their doctrine through his known apostles Matthew and John who publicly appeared with the Son of God.
5) Luke and Mark were in cahoots with Saul/Paul, “Only LUKE is with me. Take MARK, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.” 2 Timothy 4:11
6) The books of Luke and Mark are inconsistent with the testimony of Apostles Matthew and John…because as I’ve shown in these many articles there was a CONSPIRACY to supplant the true gospel of the kingdom.
7) Those who love the truth will investigate because “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, IF ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32
