Halloween might be over, but tomorrow, Monday November 2, the British Museum is running a series of events themed on the Day of the Dead. May of them are free, but some you have to book for in advance. Here is a list:
10.30am: An introduction to the Day of the Dead today and its context
11am: Aztec concepts of death and the afterlife
12.15pm: Ancestor veneration and oracles from the other world in southern Mexico
1.10pm: Calling Home the Dead (Llamar a los Muertos a Casa) – film
2.15pm: The impact of the Mexican revolution on modern Mexican identity
3.15pm: Meet the artist: Betsabeé Romero
