THATCamp AAR/SBL 2015 Website Update

(Before It's News)

THATCamp AAR/SBL is just next week. Now is the perfect time to propose sessions and get the conversation going. We are currently booked in A601 on the Atrium Level in the Marriott, but check the online program book, the mobile app, or the new www.thatcampaarsbl.org website to make sure it hasn't moved.

Did you notice the new website address? We have had serious problems with the THATCamp.org WordPress site (and many of you have been emailing and tweeting your frustration with it too). Rather than bother with trying to get that server and website to work, we have created a new one just for this conference: www.thatcampaarsbl.org If you have an idea for a Make, Talk, Play, or Teach session, you can do one of two things:

  1. Go to the website, register and post there.
  2. Email your session proposal to [email protected]

A note about option 2: Everything you put in the email will be posted to the website. Additionally, you will not be able to edit it, nor receive any kind of notification of comment to your proposal. Finally, there will be a delay from when you send the email and when it is posted. This method is only recommended for those who have a technical problem with registering for the website. We strongly recommend registering and posting your proposal directly. Posting instructions are on the website.

We will collect all of these ideas and proposals, and during our first 30 minutes on Friday the 20th will be dedicated to getting any last minute suggestions and voting on which ones we will do. In the meantime, if you see someone's session on the website and think of a way it could be improved, please join the conversation and leave a comment! The website supports comments made to the post and paragraph by paragraph (inline) commenting.

We look forward to seeing all of you in A601 at 9 a.m. on the 20th. Bring your devices (gotta live-tweet the whole thing using the hashtag #thatcampaarsbl, of course), your ideas, and your willing participation!

Thanks,
THATCamp AAR/SBL 2015 co-coordinators
