OBVIOUSLY THE NAME is NOT the ‘gate’ or the ‘way’ that leads to life!
You do the hard work FIRST!
He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.
For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Disgusting Luke wants you suffering EVERY DAY of your life:
“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross DAILY, and follow me.” 9:23
Mark backs up the LIE placing ‘the cross’ after the giving up phase when THE CROSS IS that first step:
“Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.” Mark 10:21
…but this initial choice is one to turn to God by leaving behind WHATEVER UNIQUE THING has kept YOU from seeking life!
“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, IF any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” Matthew 16:24
