Despicable Paul calls Christ crucified a ‘stumbling block’ to Jews…but “skandalon” Strong’s Greek 4625 refers to the snare that leads to SIN! The mischievous KJV usually translates the word “skandalon” [Strong's 4625] as ‘stumbling block’ for Paul, but as ‘offense’ when Jesus or his disciples use the term:
“The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend [temptations to sin], and them which do iniquity” Matthew 13:41 KJV

Please understand that the water is being PURPOSEFULLY muddied in describing Christ as a ‘stumbling block’ instead of the crushing corner stone that the builders rejected — He clarified the matter with his disciples…
“When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this OFFEND [skandalizei, Strong's 4624] you?” John 6:61
So why would Jesus now be asking if he had “scandalized” them…since he gave clear instruction regarding ‘scandalous’ matters of the heart in Matthew 5:29-30?
The answer to the question in John 6:61 MUST BE A RESOUNDING ‘NO!!‘ He was not leading them into sin/destruction by his teaching; no need to separate themselves from him.
He was not lying to them nor misleading them about having the words of eternal life!
