Jimmy Rollins Not Making Giants Opening Day Roster

The news finally broke that infielder Jimmy Rollins will not make the San Francisco Giants Opening Day roster. Rollins has struggled thing Spring by hitting .125 in 40 at-bats. It’s still not clear if Rollins will opt-out of his minor league contract or go down to the minors and hope to get called up in time.
The 38-year old Oakland Native is a career .261 hitter, but his last two season with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox, Rollins hit .224 and .221. It’s been a great career for J-Roll, but this could be the last straw. Only time will tell if he’s still got something left in the tank, but it won’t be on Opening Day for the Giants.
