ST. LOUIS • Local OSHA inspectors don't have to go far to look into incidents of workers getting shocked at the Robert A. Young Federal building at 1222 Spruce Street downtown — they work there, too.
On Wednesday, two men working on scaffolding outside the building received electrical shocks in two separate incidents when the scaffolding apparently became electrified.
The men were conscious and talking after getting shocked, said local Occupational Safety and Health Administration director Bill McDonald. They were taken to the hospital for observation and released.
