HERE Lake Hills, Texas – A monkey is on the loose in Bandera County after escaping from its cage on Friday night.
The Bandera County Sheriff’s Office says the monkey got loose in the Lake Hills area near Medina Lake. Deputies are now trying to track down the monkey named “Obie”. He is 30 years old and is around 2 feet tall.
The owner has several other monkeys on her property, but Obie was the only one who escaped. Deputies say Obie does not have a shot record, but says it has not been aggressive in the past.
If you see Obie you should not approach it or shoot at it. Deputies say you should treat it as a wild animal and call the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office at 830-796-3771.
