Mother of Miami Cannibal Rudy Eugene Speaks Out, Defends Son – ABC News.
Even though her son had someone for lunch, his mom refuses to believe it was him. Well, it was him, but he wasn’t in his right mind. Someone evidently forced him to take bath salts and then dumped him. Never mind that he dumped his own car and then wandered across the city stripping off his clothes as he went. There must be some other explanation.
How about this for an explanation? He took bath salts. He went crazy. Yes, I’m sorry, he was still your son. He was still responsible for his actions. Should he have been shot? Probably not. But given the situation without back up, the officer reacted as any other human being would have acted.
It’s a terrible tragedy, one that is being played out all over the U.S.
What is not a tragedy, but rather a travesty, is the defense of Rudy “the cannibal” Eugene’s sometime girlfriend. She claims he left the apartment, but didn’t kiss her before he left. Rather, he kissed a Bible. Say what?
Is this a common practice? I’ve never met anyone who admitted to kissing a Bible before leaving the house. There’s nothing wrong with it, it just seems a little -well- off. You read the Bible, you kiss your wife. Isn’t that how it goes? Instead, Rudy left his girlfriend’s (not wife’s) apartment to “go meet a homeboy” but on his way out the door he smooched the Holy Book? Not “read his favorite passage” or “said a prayer.” Those I could accept, no problem, as a sign of piety. But does his girlfriend really keep the Bible next to the car keys on the coat rack for a little pre-departure necking?
Was there any tongue involved, or am I just asking for too much information?
