'Joker' James Holmes (L) and android (R) with red-orange hair added for comparison
A protype android designed to one day replace the human body has a more than eerie resemblence to James Holmes, the self-styled Joker that allegedly killed 12 and wounded dozens in at a theater in Aurora, Colorado.
The remarkable android was designed and built long before Holmes presumably decided to become Batman's greatest nemesis. Yet unfortunately for the world at large, there may now be a crazed Joker, but there's no Caped Crusader.
Androids to house human minds
In a spectacular bid to achieve immortality, a Russian team of dedicated scientists is working to make immortality a reality.
According to Anatol Rahman for The Tech Journal, the Russian project named Avatar, seeks to "put an end to death by creating robots that can replace our physical bodies and store our personalities on artificial brains."
The Avatar Project is the brainchild of 30-something Russian billionaire and media king, Dmitry Itskov. the visionary Russian has set up a corporation that's looking to recruit experts from around the world.
Android body waits for a human mind
Fact follows fiction
Echoing the science fiction story We Can Build You by Philp K. Dick, Itskov and his team predict they will perfect an artificial body "that will not only surpass the existing body in terms of functionality, but will achieve perfection of form and be no less attractive than the human body.”
They may achieve their amazing goal too, but hopefully the androids will not bear disturbing resemblences to mass murderers. If they do, sales may be less than brisk immortality or not.
This is MK-Ultra “Avatar”.

I hope the people in charge of the robot’s appearance were fired – what a hideous looking invention! The skin around it’s eyes looks like it’s melting and it’s eyeballs are just going to fall out of their sockets.
Now really…this is old technology..Show us a human clone!
