Hearing From Mark

(Before It's News)

My goodness, this soap opera just keeps rolling along, doesn't it?

I was on the phone with a close male friend, we'll call him “Stefan,” discussing the case regarding Robin. He's one of the guys I asked to join us when we go back and forth to court so its not so easy for Mark Monster to pull anything. I was giving the good news and while talking another call came through. I didn't recognize the number and ignored it.

Okay– here's where things got strange…

Gerick and I have land line cordless phones and they're pretty cheap. They don't work that great and they're already starting to fail and break down. The last few days have been especially problematic. Sometimes when another call comes through– even if I don't answer it– the phone will just hang up on the person I'm talking to and take the call. Which is weird and has only happened a few times ever– but all in the last week.

It happened again just a short while ago. I heard the click as Stefan got hung up on and a second click as the other line came on abruptly. While I was saying something like, “...what that asscrack Mark deserves...” (because the 2 clicks happened so fast I was still finishing a sentence, not realizing yet what was going on) — and then I heard a voice answer me, and it wasn't Stefan.

The voice was that of a very angry man, and he just said, “THIS IS MARK!“ and hung up on me abruptly!!

It took me a few seconds to process. Then I looked at the caller I.D.–  2 numbers had come through almost simultaneously– one was a Tacoma area number and the other was a strange number I'd never seen. I looked up the strange number. It was a calling service for people that didn't have access to a cell phone or home phone of their own. Like a calling card of the 1990's only without needing a card. It was weird. Like maybe a service someone stuck in a jail cell might use–?

I don't know anyone in the southwestern Tacoma area– I only know OF Mark. He has called me before– right when Robin first left him. Lots of hang up calls and someone staying silent on the line and refusing to hang up until I did. And if I did hang up he'd call back and so on. I started answering them and not saying anything either, and putting the phone down– but not hanging up– and going about my day. After that he gave up and stopped calling me (always from different numbers from the Tacoma area, so it was impossible to block him for long.)

I had guessed that since he loved confrontation and inducing fear, my being nonchalant and shrugging and walking away leaving the phone ON the line would eventually bore such a man. I took out the fun for him. No fear from me. No threats. I even laughed a few times and then put the phone down. After dealing with the paranormal, a mere bully just doesn't ring my paranoia bell!

Now that he's in massive trouble he dares to start this phone harassment shit up again-?

Cool. I'm gonna get him for harassment. Looks like I'll be going up to court with Robin next week. While she does her deposition– I'll be filing for an anti-harassment order or whatever they call it in Washington state. I might have to file here as well. Whatever it takes. The jerk is not going to scare me. He's pissing me off and giving me the opportunity to land him in jail again.

– And he better not come after me where I live. I have a husband and am surrounded by neighbors with guns who will protect me with deadly force. I'm not a scared little woman hiding out alone without support like the other women he's targeted. With me he will LOSE. I don't play such games. I END them.

I took away his favorite toy– and now he's facing serious prison time. He'll likely die in prison when this is all over if the jury has an ounce of sense. He's figured out I helped to make that happen AND given his victim a safe place to stay if she needs it. But if he's thinking to make me pay, he'll find I'm not an easy target to intimidate.

And if it looks like he's coming after ME, I promise you I WILL be prepared.
