Witness Statement: I was just going to bed, and saw what I initially thought was the moon. However it was a bright light about the size of a balloon. This was joined by a second and then a third, and they were quite low down in the sky and heading east. I watched them for a few moments, then went to the front of the house to see if I could see them. They had gone much higher in the sky and they were dimmed. They then became slightly brighter, and lined up equidistantly. By then they were about the size of stars. I watched them until 1.55 a.m. when I went to bed. In that time, there was no sound and they did not move, but the two outside lights faded slightly from time to time. Whilst I was watching, two aircraft passed. The first one was heading north, then a short time later another plane headed west. Presumably they were from either Lakenheath or Mildenhall airbases. I got up about two hours later, and although all the stars were out, these lights were no longer there.
