Ma Nature Says “Shut Up Already!” To New England Campaigning
How funny is it that a huge hurricane and winter storm are heading for a collision course right over the biggest population area of the United States? I don't know why it tickles me, but it just does for some reason.
Yet Climate Change wasn't even mentioned at all during the campaign. I think a good SMACK across the bow is just what those guys need. They escaped the worst of the drought in New England and the Tidewater region, so let's bring the reality on home with a 'Perfect Storm' eh?
Watching the news guys go nuts over this major weather event gets my juices flowing. Can't quite explain why. Because I long to tell them all, “You ain't seen nothin' yet!” maybe? Yeah, I think that's why.
Meanwhile, I'm filling my mail-in ballot this weekend and sending it in Monday. Lots of exciting ballot measures going on in my state, including some local ones involving casinos and even one about legalizing MARIJUANA (ballot measure 80)!! I looked over my voter's pamphlet and saw that last one and said, “Wait… WHAT!?” and then laughed and laughed. The funniest thing about it is how no one is even talking about it. No ballot measure commercials saying, “Save the children from the evils of cannibis!!!” or anything. It may be a foregone conclusion that it'll pass, but who can say. I'm just surprised its such a non-issues I guess. Oregon, man… So much fun to be had on one long card, y'all. =^D
