Shades of the future
Last night saw the Paralympics opening ceremony and, as noted yesterday, the theme revolved around an “intellectual revolution” between 1550 and 1720, with alleged would be time traveller, Professor Hawking, advising hermetically to “look to the stars” rather than one’s feet, probably in respect of the ongoing “human revolution”: the creation of a one-world society and eventual colonisation of space.
