(Before It's News)

I got a phone call just a short while ago. They found Robin…

She's ALIVE. Thank the gods and all that's holy. Her family was worried enough (because she told them she was going to drive into the forest to take an overdose of pills) that they actually called the police. People were searching for her all afternoon yesterday and through the night without success. I tried calling her multiple times and it went directly to voice mail.

Finally, last night the police called them. They found her– at night, trying to work up the courage to jump off this bridge:

Yaqbridge

The Yaquina Bay Bridge in Newport, Oregon, is a famous landmark. A VERY high and long bridge. Beautiful. Especially on a foggy night like last night. Monday nights aren't really big traffic times on the 101 though– and if the police had not spotted her..? I hate to imagine– but I do. They took her to a hospital. Opting for bridge jumping as opposed to pills means she was more than serious. And I had no idea she was at that point.

She's being released to come home today. I don't know why they would do that. She should be in treatment. I am not her family so I have no say. The drama-queen daughters and hateful husband are in charge of her. Gods help her– because its obvious that my help is not enough. I never expected it to be but no one else seems to be stepping up. I'm so frustrated! Did they even have a “Safety Plan” in place before releasing her?

  • I hope Robin is well. Oregon has some of the most progressive laws restricting involuntary treatment. Some people move here to escape family persecution and psychiatric human rights abuse. I suggest you “bone up” on Oregon’s involuntary treatment process, since Robin may be a justified case. Good luck.
