2224 days ago, on January 17th 2007, then Chancellor, Gordon Brown, visited India. There’s been a couple of days “added” in for leap years (see previous post). 

From the BBC report, we royally note his comment : “It is time to formally recognise on a more consistent and regular basis the reality of this emerging new world order.

 Today, British Prime Minister, David Cameron,  visits India. He tells of how the two countries can “forge one of the greatest partnerships of the 21st Century.” (here)

A definition of forge : “Make or shape (a metal object) by heating it in a fire or furnace and beating or hammering it.
