Lemmings are saying, “After you”
By Henry Makow Ph.D.
About ten years ago, the national broadcaster had a TV series to determine who was “the Greatest Canadian of all time.” In the 10-part finale, a celebrity would sing the praises of his choice. The finalists included Alexander Graham Bell, Frederick Banting, Terry Fox, Wayne Gretzky and Pierre Trudeau. The winner was Tommy Douglas, the Freemason who brought in socialized medicine.
This contest was a no brainer since there are only a few score people who might qualify. A truly difficult and challenging task would be to find the “nicest” Canadian. Out of a population of about 33 million, we have at least sixteen million contenders.
When I suggested this idea to my wife, she said, predictably, “You don’t stand a chance.”
I agreed. But this is not an honor I seek.
Rather, I wish to honor the nicest Canadian, and I need my readers help. Please nominate a Canadian and tell me why he should be crowned “nicest.”
