Eustachian Tube & Stomach Bug
I've felt like crap for the last 3 days or so.
It began with my eustachian tubes (between ears and throat) clogging up and getting a deep toned ringing and great pressure discomfort in my ears. For 2 days this drove me crazy. Then yesterday I woke up with a painful stomach.
This was no ordinary “ow! my tummy hurts!” thing. Oh no. It felt like a strong person had punched me repeatedly hard in the solar plexus, leaving me bruised and battered. Then I got seriously sick– hardly nauseated at all, but then I found myself abruptly vomiting several times. It was not like a normal stomach bug (and I don't mean intestinal– in fact, I never had any intestinal distress ever with this bug) but a STOMACH problem quite obviously. I actually wondered if I had food poisoning, but then realized no one else who ate with me got sick.
However, over a week ago, Gerick had the same symptoms– clogged buzzing ears and a hurting stomach. I realized it was some new and fun virus. Turns out a lot of people I know have had the same bizarre set of symptoms. Like me, most of them didn't put it together until later.
But I thought I'd put this out there in case any of my readers notice the same. It runs its course pretty darned fast and there is little loss of energy. Just 2 days of ear issues, then a day of stomach pain and some vomiting, followed by a day of massive headaches. That's the point where I'm at now.
*groans and goes back to bed*
